Prairieville, Louisiana – RITHM announced today its membership into the Construction Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) at Louisiana State University (LSU).
This membership allows RITHM to have direct access to LSU students in the CIAC and Construction Management (CM) programs and will allow the company to influence curriculum and provide mentorships and guest lectures for enrolled students.
“CIAC works to enhance the student experience and program through a variety of ways,” said CIAC President Rudy Comeaux. “Some examples of what we do are: working directly with the CM faculty and staff to provide guest lecturers and industry experts into the classroom, provide a mentorship program for students which pairs them with an industry rep, coordinate construction site visits for students to learn from seeing and touching construction, and have open networking opportunities with the industry and beyond.
“Our CIAC mission is to enhance the construction industry through our support of the LSU Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management,” Comeaux added. “We could not make this happen without the support of the industry.”
“We are excited about the opportunities our CIAC program membership can provide,” said RITHM CEO Jeremy Ducote. “We value education and continuous improvement, and through our new partnership we can show students of the CM program the importance of the use of technology in the construction industry.”
Ducote says he hopes to influence the current CM curriculum to focus on the integration of information technology in the construction industry. “We are trying to change the way the construction industry absorbs information. We want industry leaders and students to make better decisions with their data using the latest tools.
“Empowering these students so they have an immediate impact after school is more important now than it ever has been. We want an organization that has Construction Management professionals that are passionate about technology and leveraging data and information.”
Since 2012, RITHM has leveraged the data and processes of over 100 companies so they can reach excellence in construction. We are passionate about creating and providing information that drives business performance, and we help our partners get the highest return on their software investments. We help our partners connect the dots so everyone is strategically aligned. We clear the clutter of spreadsheets and enable more data-driven, time-saving decision making.
The LSU Construction Industry Advisory Council (LSU CIAC) was established to help build the LSU Construction Management Department into the premier training ground for construction managers. Tax-deductible annual membership dues vary on level. In return, LSU CIAC members provide guidance in determining how those dollars are spent and how the Department grows and evolves. Members have the opportunity to give input through the organization to improve the curriculum and to network with students through mentorships, guest lectures, construction interview day, and field trips.
